S.Anna feast

Ischia Ponte - 26 July 2012 at 9.00 p.m.

The oldest feast of the island is a magic event which takes place every year on July and attracts people from all over Europe for the splendour of its settings. In the evening of July 26th the waters of Ischia Ponte see the traditional parade of decorated rafts which compete for the “palio” (cloth) of Sant’Anna. The bay of Cartaromana becomes a spectacular display of lights and colours from the rafts of Sant’Anna but also from the thousands of boats that come and watch the event. On the rocks and on the platforms hundreds of spectators with their applause will chose the most beautiful raft. And at the end of an evening that is always charming and unforgettable, a spectacular blaze of the Aragonese Castle and the classical and striking fireworks show.
